Test-trenching was carried out in advance of development at Carnagarve House, Moville, Co. Donegal. Seventeen trenches were excavated across the development, located across the areas of proposed ground disturbance. The trenches were each 2m wide and varied in length between 30m and 80m. All test-trenching was conducted by means of a mechanical excavator furnished with a toothless, flat-bottomed ditching bucket. No archaeological remains were uncovered during the course of test-trenching.
