Testing was undertaken in support of a planning application for permission to construct a private dwelling, garage and associated works at Kilpatrick, Macroom. The proposed development site is located within the zone of archaeological potential surrounding a possible souterrain, a bullaun stone and a burial ground. Three test-trenches (totalling 60m in length) were excavated. No features of archaeological significance were identified.
