Three test-trenches were excavated across the area to be impacted by a proposed office development located 1km south of Carrigaline village. The south end of the development site extends into the zone of potential surrounding the ‘site of’ a medieval church. The probable location of the church is now occupied by a modern house located c. 50m to the east of the development site. There were no archaeological features or finds uncovered in any of the test-trenches opened at the proposed development site.
