Five test-trenches were machine-excavated on a site at Kilmeedy East, Millstreet, which is in the environs of a ringfort and fulachta fiadh. Topsoil was removed to a depth of c. 0.35–0.4m. Beneath the topsoil, light mid-brown/orange stony clay occurred throughout. No archaeological finds or features were noted in the trenches.
