Cork County Council granted planning permission for a single house at Cullomane East, Bantry. All ground disturbance associated with the development was monitored. The development site is located to the immediate east of a gallán (site of), SMR 118:70. The topsoil cover was thin and shallow and overlay peaty soil which varied in depth from 0.1 to 0.3m. Grey clay underlay the peaty soil. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded.
