Testing of a proposed development site at Townparks, Cloyne, Co. Cork, was undertaken as part of an impact assessment. The proposed site consists of a partial greenfield area to the rear of Rock Street. Seven trenches were excavated on the site and revealed the presence of a number of earth-cut features. A post-medieval date was established for five of the features uncovered, which mainly consisted of linear trenches.
