An excavation was carried out in advance of the construction of a small utility shed close to the 17th-century fortified house known as Dún na Séad Castle (SMR 150:36(02)), Baltimore, Co. Cork. The excavation uncovered the remains of a wall, cobbled surface and associated drain. Artefacts recovered dated from the 17th to 20th centuries.
