This project involved the monitoring of the excavation of the foundation bases for eight ESB poles, each measuring 1m2 in plan, in a number of fields to the north of Ballyhooly village. The fields to be impacted on by the poles were relatively flat and were under tillage at the time of monitoring. There were no archaeological artefacts or features uncovered in any of the foundation pits.
