Test-trenching of a proposed housing development was carried out in a number of fields to the south of Ballyclogh village. The development area is located in the zone of archaeological potential surrounding a demolished 19th-century cornmill. Evidence of post-medieval and modern building rubble in a number of the trenches indicated that these fields to the south of the village were used as a dump area. There were no archaeological features or finds recorded during testing at this site.
