A test excavation was undertaken at the site of a proposed development at Inishmore, Butlersbridge, Co. Cavan. The site is within the zone of archaeological potential of an enclosure marked as ‘Granshagh or River view fort’. A series of test-trenches were enacted, which found no features or artefacts of any archaeological significance.
