On the opposite side of the railway line to A021/050 (see No. 91, Excavations 2005), an area containing a thin spread of burnt-mound-type material was identified during Contract 3 testing on the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme, although no mound or trough was found. It is assumed that the source of this material lies outside the limits of the test-trenches and that the identified scatter of material is a result of ploughing in the area. A larger area will be investigated around this material as part of the resolution phase of works on this scheme.
