A total of 25 sites (numbered A021/043–065 under the ministerial direction numbering system) were identified in this area during Contract 3 testing on the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme. Some of these sites had been highlighted as areas of much archaeological potential in advance of this work; these were numbered under a separate numbering system and are individually discussed (see Nos 56–60 above and Nos 62–66, 86–96, 104–5 below).
