Dún a Mallaght motte (SMR 9:1) and seven circular cropmarks (SMR 9:115) identified by aerial photography were located to the north-west of the site. An evaluation was required to assess the potential archaeological impact of construction of a dwelling on the site. Excavation of two test-trenches uncovered four post-holes. An area measuring 20m2 was opened to investigate these features, which were revealed to be of no archaeological significance. No finds, features or deposits of archaeological significance were uncovered.
