A test excavation was carried out as part of an assessment of a site at Macreddin West, Co. Wicklow. The development consisted of the construction of a single dwelling. The site was located within the archaeological zone of potential for the town of Macreddin. Ten test-trenches were excavated, none of which produced any archaeological features. A single piece of struck flint was uncovered within a plough furrow.
