The development is located at South Main Street, Wexford. It occupies a corner site formed at the junction of Main Street and Mary’s Lane and lies within the zone of archaeological importance. Three test-trenches were excavated. No archaeological deposits were recorded to the rear of the site. This was due to the scraping of material in this area during previous construction works. The archaeological stratigraphy recorded in the remaining trenches consisted of deposits of clay, gravel and organic silt accumulations, typical indicators of medieval occupation.
