Testing in advance of development was undertaken at this site in October 2003 (Excavations 2003, No. 2037). Testing revealed a system of post-medieval ridge-and-furrow cultivation adjacent to Bellevue House, a protected structure located within the development site, which dates to the mid-19th century.
Monitoring of groundworks undertaken in 2004 did not reveal any significant features; however, over 500 sherds of pottery dating from the 13th to the 19th centuries were recovered from the topsoil of the site.
