Test-trenching was carried out as part of the planning schedule for the conversion of existing buildings into apartments and ancillary works. The development is adjacent to the site of a castle (SMR 6:60). A series of trenches were excavated by mechanical digger at the development site, entrance and percolation area. No features or finds of archaeological significance were revealed.
