Monitoring was carried out at St Feichin's National School, Fore, Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath, on 28 and 29 November 2004. The site of the development is situated within the zone of archaeological potential of the historic village of Fore, SMR 8:97, and within the immediate vicinity of a wayside cross located in the boundary wall of the school. Nothing of an archaeological nature was uncovered.
