Pre-development testing was undertaken prior to the development of a dwelling house and associated services at Creeve, Mount Temple, Moate, Co. Westmeath. The site is located in the vicinity of an earthwork of which no trace survives aboveground. Three trenches were mechanically excavated in the course of testing. The stratigraphy consisted of sod and topsoil overlying a brown sandy gravel. No artefacts or features of archaeological significance were uncovered.
