Monitoring was undertaken at the site of the Dungarvan wastewater treatment plant, Ballynacourty, Co. Waterford. The area proposed for development is located at Ballynacourty Point, a small peninsula on the north side of Dungarvan Harbour and c. 6km east of Dungarvan town.

Due to earlier construction of a factory and the post-demolition importation of topsoil, this site was heavily disturbed. The total depth of made ground to the surface of natural was seen to contain modern refuse including metal and plastic.

No archaeological features, deposits, structures or artefacts were identified within the area of proposed development.
