Monitoring of topsoil-stripping associated with the construction of the Omagh through pass has identified a 13m section of French drain and a small pit. No datable finds were recovered from the pit. In addition, photographic and laser-scanning surveys have recorded a metal-girder bridge carrying the Great Northern Railway over the Drumragh River.
Works are ongoing at the road scheme and are expected to be completed early in 2005.
