Monitoring was necessary, as the proposed development consisted of the construction of a modern porch within the confines of an RMP site, Kiltinan Castle. The porch was being added to the 19th-century renovated structure. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered, as the structure was built on a limestone outcrop, reached at a depth of 0.35m.
