Test excavation was undertaken on 19 July 2004 associated with the construction of a house and associated works on the site of an enclosure at Glenreagh Beg, Holycross. Excavation achieved depths of 0.15m, to the surface of the natural underlying subsoil. The enclosure had been bulldozed 30 years previously. Nothing of an archaeological nature was encountered in the course of the excavation.
