Test excavation was undertaken on 8 July 2004 associated with the construction of a house and associated works within a greenfield area at Clonmore North, Ardmayle. Excavation achieved depths of 0.3–0.45m, to the surface of the natural underlying subsoil. Nothing of an archaeological nature was encountered.
