An archaeological impact assessment was undertaken in support of a planning application for permission to construct mixed-use development at Carrickbeg, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary. Testing identified the presence of thirteen deposits of burnt material, a linear feature and a possible pit. The features are concentrated in two main areas and may represent the plough-truncated remains of two burnt mounds.
