The site of the proposed development, to consist of a house, access, garage and septic tank/percolation area, is just outside Tobercurry. It is near a ringfort that is situated west of the site. The site is also near a proposed housing scheme that was extensively tested (Excavations 2003, No. 1669, 03E1696). Five trenches were excavated across the site in April 2004. They all measured 10m by 1.2m and were excavated to a depth of 0.4-0.6m. There was no evidence of any archaeological activity on the site.
