Testing took place prior to building townhouses and associated works at Shannonspark West on a 5.5-acre site between Easky Abbey, SMR 11:21, and a ringfort, SMR 11:18 (Excavations 2003, No. 1648). Associated works for the pipelines from the site to the village street, along the existing access road in Curraghnagap, passing the abbey and graveyard, were monitored in March 2004. The bedrock was just under the surface and there were no archaeological discoveries.
