Testing was undertaken pursuant to granted planning permission to construct a dwelling house and carry out associated site works in the townland of Drumderry. The site is adjoining a field where a ringfort is located.
Five trenches were opened on the site, none of which revealed any features of archaeological provenance. Weathered bedrock was relatively close to the surface.
