The proposed development is to consist of the construction of a single house, access and septic tank/percolation area. The site is located in an area of intense archaeological activity, with the famous Creevykeel court tomb located a distance to the north-west. However, the closest monument to the site is a cashel located in the field to the south. Four test-trenches, measuring 10m by 1.25m, were excavated by machine to the level of undisturbed natural. There was no evidence of any archaeological activity on the site.
