The site of the proposed development at Carrowmore townland is located c. 1km from Carrowmore megalithic cemetery, Co. Sligo. The proposed development involves the construction of a new extension to the rear of a house and upgrading of the existing services. The site is near a barrow that is located to the south-west in an adjacent field. Two test-trenches were excavated by machine to the level of undisturbed natural, with no evidence of any archaeological activity.
