Testing was carried out for a single house at Curryroe, Drum, Co. Roscommon, on 4 November 2004. The proposed development is located within the zone of archaeological potential of a holy well and is beside SMR 51:65, an ecclesiastical enclosure. Three test-trenches were opened using a tracked machine with a 1m-wide flat toothless bucket. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
