A single private dwelling necessitated eight pre-development trenches due to a rath (SMR 39:45) being within 25m of the south-east edge of the field. All trenches were of general uniform composition and contained no archaeological features. Boulder clay of gravelly daub was evident throughout and the few items recovered were all modern.
