Eight trenches were opened here in advance of a private house development, which has a conjoined rath (SMR 28:209) at least 30m away to the north. Burnt orange-stained earth in very random patches turned up in the topsoil in most trenches. Its occurrence does indicate burning and later redeposition but does not point to any activity or feature of antiquity. One small stretch of a linear stone-filled drain is similarly of more recent creation. Very few items (all modern) came from the testing.
