Testing was undertaken prior to the development of two dwelling houses and associated services at Ballymurray, Co. Roscommon. The site is located in the vicinity of a holy well. This monument is now backfilled and located at the rear of the proposed development site. It will not be directly affected by the proposed development. Four trenches were mechanically excavated in the course of testing. No artefacts or features of archaeological significance were uncovered.
