Pre-development testing, on behalf of Offaly County Council and Bord na M—na Environmental Ltd, was carried out at Derryclure Bog, Tullamore, Co. Offaly. The development work involves extending the already operational Derryclure landfill and entails the removal of the remaining peat in this area. A pre-development walkover and subsequent testing were carried out to ensure that no previously unknown archaeological remains were present. No archaeology was uncovered in the course of testing at the site.
