In response to a planning condition and following a building inspection, an assessment of a proposed development at 3 Flower Hill, Navan, Co. Meath, was undertaken. Five trenches were excavated to test the locations of the foundations. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were identified in any of these trenches. Evidence from the building inspection and testing would indicate that the building, constructed in the first quarter of the 20th century, was built on made ground dumped directly onto the natural. It is likely that any archaeological deposits present were removed during the ground preparation works for construction of the former building.
