The project involved a monitored topsoil-strip during the construction phase of a sewer system for housing estates on the edge of Navan town. The proposed sewer was 3km in length, running parallel to the rail line and briefly crossing through a greenfield area. Monitoring continued for the duration of the topsoil-strip and for selective portions of the pipe trenching. No features of archaeological importance were identified.
