The site was situated close to a medieval church and in the same field as some earthworks that appear to be part of a deserted settlement. Nothing was found in the area of the house, but in the percolation area there was a small ditch with charcoal staining beside it. A sherd of 18th-century pottery and a few pieces of iron were found with the charcoal. This area could have been part of an old smithy.
