Unlicenced monitoring of ground reduction works took place at a housing development in Townparks townland at Old Cavan Road, Kells, Co. Meath, from 9 February to 9 March 2004. The development consisted of the topsoil clearance of a five-acre site, the digging of foundation and service trenches and the construction of roads within the estate. Monitoring did not reveal any archaeological remains or artefacts.
