The monitoring of the digging of the foundations for two houses was carried out at Glebewood, Rathoath, Co. Meath, on a 0.5ha site. The site is in an area of archaeological potential adjacent to a graveyard. Testing had previously been carried out here and no sites or artefacts of archaeological importance were identified (No. 1243, Excavations 2004, 04E0277).

A house had been built on the east of the site in 1998 without any archaeological input. The remaining land had been extensively landscaped, including the building of raised walkways and the importation of many tonnes of topsoil. The gardens were opened to the public in 1999. Monitoring was carried out of the digging of the foundations of Houses A and B. No sites or artefacts of archaeological significance were present.
