Eighteen trenches were mechanically excavated on this large development site in February 2004. Eighteenth-century cultivation furrows were found in all the trenches. Several pits and a possible structure associated with a hearth containing iron furnace bottoms were revealed in two areas of the site. The features and the areas around them were all subsequently fully excavated, but no datable finds were uncovered.
