Monitoring was carried out on 2 and 3 February 2004 at Ballynagranshy, Oldcastle. This entailed the removal of all the topsoil down to the subsoil for the levelling of the side of a hill adjacent to a quarry using a track machine with a 1m-wide flat toothless bucket. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
