Monitoring was carried out on 27 September 2004 for a two-storey and garage extension to the rear of a house and the erection of a 1.9m-high garden wall and piers on the west and north sides of the property. The development is located within the zone of archaeological potential in the centre of the historic town of Athboy. The work was carried out using a 'mini-digger' with a 1m-wide flat bucket. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
