An assessment was conducted prior to a residential development to the rear of 10–12 Church Street, Dundalk, on 26 May 2004. The proposed development relates to the construction of six apartments, along with associated services. Three trenches were excavated and these revealed extensive disturbance. The remains of a partially demolished 19th-century cellar were exposed within the trenches. No features of archaeological significance were revealed.
