Pre-development testing was carried out on 20 April at a proposed development site comprising housing, site frontage and ancillary works. The site is within an area of high archaeological potential. Eleven trenches were excavated along the foundation trenches of the five houses and associated roads and services area. The same sterile stratigraphic sequence was recorded throughout the development area. Nothing of archaeological importance was uncovered.
