The site of the proposed development is in the townland of Newtownstalaban and is located to the east of the medieval town of Drogheda (SMR 21:41). It is proposed by the client to provide a surface water pipe that will drain Boyne Business Park and the surrounding areas. The proposed pipeline runs from Boyne Business Park down to the foreshore of the River Boyne. Monitoring was conducted at this site in October 2004. No features of archaeological significance were identified and no finds were recovered.
