Monitoring took place of the ground reduction works for drainage and resurfacing of Main Street in Granard, Co. Longford, from 8 July to 7 September 2004. The development consisted of the removal of the old road surface on Main Street for a distance of 500m. The N55 Granard resurfacing scheme included the laying of a new road surface, footpaths, water and sewer pipes. Monitoring did not reveal any archaeological remains or artefacts.
