Testing was carried out in advance of the construction of a slatted cattle shed at Shanagolden. The development is located within the zone of the historic town of Shanagolden. Three trenches were excavated across the site, each measuring 20m in length by 1.5m. Extensive deposits of modern rubble were evident in the trenches. Nothing of an archaeological nature was noted during the testing.
