Test-trenching was undertaken following an application for planning permission to construct 90 houses, four apartments and a childcare facility to the south of the Catholic church at Croom, Co. Limerick. Eight trenches were excavated using a mechanical excavator, but no finds or features of archaeological interest were noted.
