This development involved the construction of a house with associated site works. The proposed development site is inside the perimeter of the zone of archaeological potential for the Cahirguillamore complex, SMR 31:41(01-19). Nineteen sites are listed in the RMP for this area, with a further four sites identified in the Bruff Aerial Photographic Survey (Doody 1993 and 2001) and an additional four sites since listed as part of the work of the Discovery Programme (Martin Doody, pers. comm.). A documentary/cartographic and photographic study was undertaken, together with the excavation of three test-trenches, and no archaeological features or deposits were recorded.
